Grand Valley Adult Soccer – Player Code of Conduct

Our main goals at GVAS are to inspire fun, maintain safety, and facilitate fair play.  As a result, all players participating in a GVAS league must adhere to the following player code of conduct:

  • Show respect for all players, refs, and spectators.  Avoid engaging in abusive or offensive language, don’t bully or intimidate others, and remember that we all make mistakes sometimes.
  • Demonstrate sportsmanship and fair play by following the rules and spirit of the game, and by being accountable for one’s conduct on both the field and sideline.
  • Never engage in overly-aggressive play that may cause injury to myself or my opponent.
  • Be humble and gracious in victory, and kind and accepting in defeat.
  • Have fun!

Breaches of the player code of conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of participation privileges in the Grand Valley Adult Soccer League.
